me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Blog Nooz

First, thanks for dropping in from time to time. And for your comments. Just wanted to point out a few things:

1. I'm keeping the haiku going on Saturdays. While the temptation to retrogress through the week was enormous (for those of you who're new, I started on Sundays, then moved to Saturdays the second year), weekdays aren't as reliably available for sitting by the river, even for a writer without a day job. So it'll be Saturday, and it works like this: if I'm not in NY the title will say where I am. Otherwise I'm on my bench by the Hudson. Unless it's raining, in which case I'm standing because my bench is wet. I may be crazy but I'm not stupid.

2. I've added new links above:

My sister has an organic farm in Crawford County, GA (west of Macon); you can check it out.

My friend Taneya is pregnant and keeping a waiting-for-the-baby blog. We play basketball together, though of course right now she's off. Her blog contains one of the best jock exhortations I've ever read, from her husband Jeff: "Jeff wanted me to give a shout out to all the ladies that there is STILL TIME FOR YOU to procreate within 2007. Do it now so you'll be available for any winter sport in 2008."

There's also the Atlantic Center for the Arts, where I spent my wonderful October; The Jew and the Carrot, a faith-and-earth-related blog; and a couple of others. Take a look.

Now I'm off to play Sunday morning basketball, because apparently I AM in fact both crazy and stupid.
