me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Two items related to PA

First, I want to wish all those of you who are of my tribe a happy Pesach. Enjoy that Matzoh! JL and I went to Philadelphia to my sister's family for the first Seder, and the car broke down so we spent the night. An unexpected sleepover, lots of fun (except for the part about worrying about the car) as was the Seder, what with my sister's family, another Jewish family, a young woman converting from Catholicism, a lapsed Episcopalian (JL), and four members of the Bruderhof community from near Kingston, NY. As usual, no two Haggadahs were alike and everyone asked lots of questions and argued all night. And the food was fabulous. And the weather, and the blossoming trees and spring flowers. Just beautiful.

And then Tuesday, the PA primary. In which nothing useful was resolved. This decision keeps stretching out and I can't think that can be good for the Democrats. Or, therefore, for the country.
