me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Okay, so where have I been since Sunday?

It's a good question. Nowhere; that is, here, NYC, locked up at my desk. I'm madly trying to finish the rewrites of SHANGHAI MOON, partly because it needs to be done and go into production if it's going to come out in March (and it IS going to come out in March, I can tell you) and partly because my next book is coincidentally due in, yes, March. Have I started it yet? No. Do I have an idea for it? Barely. Can I write a book in nine months which I haven't started and for which I have the barest glimmer of an idea? Well, stayed tuned. We'll see.
