me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

But in the backyard in Scottsdale this morning, ruby-throated hummingbirds. Doves in the trees. The real point, though, is it was warm enough to sit outside with my morning coffee and see these things. Stayed with the owners of the Poisoned Pen, the bookstore I was at last night. He cooks, by the way. By the way! Curried halibut (which he'd caught himself in Alaska), cauliflower, peas and mushrooms, homemade sorbet for dessert.

And, as it happens, the interview at the bookstore -- PP doesn't do readings, they do interviews -- was webcast and youse can check it out. I'll give you the link tomorrow, it'll be ready by then.
