me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

By the time I got back from Phoenix

...it was two in the morning. But I had a great time out there. Love that store! Fun gig, with F. Paul Wilson. Lots of his fans there, and I always like to do a gig with someone whose readers are a different crowd from mine, because new readers discover each writer. He's a really smart guy, too, fun to talk to. Before the gig, went to the Desert Botanical Garden with my buddy Patti O'Brien, and the next morning, before my plane, had time for a trip to the Phoenix Art Museum with another buddy, Jim Sallis. Plane was a little late taking off, bouncy in the air, and had to circle before landing. All in all, didn't get home until nearly 2:00 am. So today was a bit of a waste. But tomorrow, back to work. (Patricia Smith, I'm doing your story!)
