me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Bella the Bigmouth

Still no visual evidence of cat during the day, but last night, three separate meow-meow incidents. Each kind of went on and on. I didn't respond, and finally she gave up each time, went back under the bed. This morning I came into the kitchen to find the little bit of canned food I'd left completely gone, and an incursion made into the dry food, too. Obviously the meowing was about how she wanted more canned food. Funny how she's afraid enough of me and her new place to completely hide during the day, but at night she knows I'm the one to complain to about the provisions.
