You're experiencing the storm we had down south on Monday night and Tuesday. So glad you're just having rain, and not the tornadoes we had.

Up here in the mid-Hudson valley it's 58 degrees at noon, with the wind roaring. Grass is noticeably greener this morning, but the temperature is predicted to drop to 31 overnight (as the wind foretells.)

Nice perspective. Warm and cozy looking out on the world after exposing yourself to the pretty nasty wind and rain. Contrasts. One of those days to be thankful for the minimal comfort of a roof over your head.

On the 10th floor facing south and east overlooking a large part of the city,in 30 years, I don't ever remember a storm like this. All night the rain beating against the windows, banging against the a/c unit when I finally arose from bed this morning it was the same tempest no relief in sight. The window in my little office doesn't close and I have stuffed towels and door stoppers in the 4" opening. All of a sudden I heard water sounding like a waterfall, I went into the office, the wind blew the towels etc out of the opening and there indeed was the waterfall on my papers, my laptop, files, and all the other sundries on my desk,
oy vey, what a mess. I guess this is my way of complaining. Sorry everyone, I think I have to deal with winter next.
