Bone to Pick

Ok, so last night I had the girls over to watch the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. I bought some Van Gogh Double Espresso flavored vodka to make Espresso martinis.

First off, if you have never tried it (I have and it's the reason I splurged for it), YOU HAVE TO!!! I don't care if you don't like vodka. It won't make a difference. It doesn't taste like vodka (for the record, I sip on a little, not do shots of it), it tastes like the smoothest coffee flavored liqueur ever. It is AMAZING! And to make it even better, I added it to espresso flavored martini mix and topped it off with espresso flavored sugar rimmer. YUM! I'm tellin' ya, this shit is so good, I'd do the commercial for free ;-)

So then we settled in to watch Grey's.

All I have to say is AAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!#!*#$&@@

WTF????????? I have invested too much time worrying about these damn people and their damn relationships for them to flake out and not get married, or to break up, or to fail their intern tests. I mean REALLY. Is it absolutely neccessary to end the season all depressing and angst-ridden? Can't they leave us smiling, looking forward to a happy start of the next season, not dreading McDreamy possibly hooking up with yet another tramp with the last name Grey?

Ok, ranting over.

And now for something completely different.

Matt called the other day, while I was at work, and asked if I needed anything from Walmart. Nope, sure didn't. He needed some socks and some plain white t's. Ok, I'll see you when I get home.

Little while later Matt called back. He was back from the store and he was going golfing with Chris and Joe. Ok by me. Oh, and he got me a present. Ok, thanks.

Now, here I am figuring he bought me a copy of MUSIC AND LYRICS, the movie with Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant, that he was supposd to take me to see in the theaters, which he never did.

Was it? Not even close.

I walked into the house, said hello to Heap and spotted a rather large white bag containing a rather large white box.

Hmmmmmm. . . Somehow, I don't think this present is really for me.

Lo and behold, I was right. Wanna know what it was?

IT WAS A FREAKIN NINTENDO Wii!!!!!!

Yeah, ok, it's cool to have one I guess, but really. The man is almost 32. They are expensive. AND HE SAID IT WAS A PRESENT FOR ME, NOT A PRESENT FOR Wii!

So yeah, Wii are now the proud new owners of a Nintendo Wii. It is cool, cause you can make Miis, which are little characters you design to look like whoever you want, and you can play all kinds of cool games, and you can get on the internet with it, and put photos on it like a picture album on your computer, but did we really need it? NOOOOOOO.

But that's a man for you. (If I were to come home with something like that and said it was for us when it was mostly for me, I never would have heard the end of it!)

And last but not least, Matt laid sod along the side of the house yesterday and it looks AMAZING! Now, let's just hope it takes and continues to grow.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
