A summery of Your Favorite Annoying T...

Hello, I am YFAT or Lo. I have been writing/around on Journal Scape for over a decade now. Time flies! This journal chronicles my random thoughts, high moments and sometimes low, throughout high school, college, and now beyond, into the world of "adulthood", whatever that means.

Sinerely, ~Lo

Note to Self

Note: Do not stay up until 6am and then have a meeting at 10am the same day.

Yeah, so I had an adventure last night.

All I wanted was to innocently wander down to the basement to buy a soda around 9pm or something. Then I saw Laura, Jenny and Sara(without the Hitler H) all playing Monopoly in the middle of the hallway.
Next thing I knew I was sucked in. Next thing I knew Sara had gone to jail five times(we blamed it on her ho-ing) and I was a rich monopolist. It was at least midnight and we were on our third game, Jenny and Laura leaving with Sarah LB taking their place.

And then Sarah LB's friends Shane(Sarah K) and Nora wandered in quite hungry. They wish to seek a 24-hour Chinese food place. Sarah Lb's car has GPS but we used the internet first. While they're sprting throgh this I grab a pair of knitting needles(where I have donated my supplies for the semester) and decide I want to learn to knit.

So we bustle around, me with a ball o yarn in my hands, them trying to make a plan. We all load in to Sarah LB's car, three Sara(h)s, a Nora and Loey, me knitting by flashlight and grumbling at the uncooperative yarn with the others quite hyper. It is 1am approching 2am.

So we drive. We end up fifteen minutes down the road at the place we thought was open 24-hours. It is closed. So we used GPS with Sara and Shane dialing all the Chinese food places that come up. They must have called at least ten places.
So we decided to change directions and move south. I'm knitting the whole time, Sara and Shane are being perverted, Nora and Sarah are talking about Josie and the Pussy Cats(which was our soundtrack for the drive). We stop again, consult the GPS, dial fifteen more Chinese food resturants. No luck. Lets head to McDonalds. They must be open.
Fourty-five minute later we find ourselves by a McDonalds. It is closed. It is shut down.

"What the hell? how can you have three colleges in this area and ot have a food place open twenty-four hours!?!" Sarah LB rants.
"Um there's a Tops."
"But I want hot food!"

We end up in Tops, me with my knitting, them with their quest.
We wander for at least a half-hour, the graveyard shift workers staring at us.
"They must think we're high. Who else is up this late with a case of the munchies?"
"Who cares? We're not high. We're just insomniac college students....and we're hungry."
We find an array of food. Chips and salsa, double chocolate muffins, two kinds of baking Pilsburry cookie dough, cresant dough, raspberries, a pomegrant, drinks, a calzone, apple struddel, a banana, and some other stuff that I can't remember.
I'm pretty sure the checkut man was looking us in the eyes trying to see if we had any drug influence. Nope, we passed that test.

We loaded back in to Sarah LB's car and headed back to campus, dividing up what food we could while trying to not making the car a mess. We giggled over expanding dough. Don't ask, it was just funny. The other four sang songs from chorus, all that high oice, praise the lord, classical Eurpean sounding stuff. I continued knitting. Their voices were very pretty, slightly off but pretty.

We finally made it back to campus, parked and then security picked us up and gave us a ride back to our residence hall cause it was dang cold and would not have been a fun walk.

We went back in to the building and back down to the basement where we had originally started. By then it was between five and six, nearing six in the morning. We sat around laying on couchs, eating and playing Apples to Apples. At that point I was dropping off. I had been up close to twenty-three hours and knew that I had to be at a library meeting in four hours.
"Four hours. Are you serious? I'm fucked" I thought.
But I played Apples to Apples with my friens until I got really giggly and stupid and slurring words and falling asleep with my jacket over me like a hobo.
My friends were like "Loey, go to bed!"
So I hobbled back up to my floor, felt bad about coming in so late(or should say early) and crashed.

"RING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RING!!!!!!!!!!
RING!!!!!!"
"Whu-tuh-fuh" I grumble.
Then I sit up. "Shit, it's probably Elsie!" I look at the clock. 10 o'clock. I roll out of bed, grab the phone and call the library. "Yes I'm coming, yeah I'm sorry I just woke up. No no, I'll be there in a second." I throw on a pao of pats, a shirt, put my hair in a bun, grab my notebook, ID and a drink and notice I don't look half bad despite my miserable mind state and smoker voice.
On the way out the door I notice I've been ninja-ed. They put a sign on my door. I ignore and run across the way to the library.

Surprisingly enough I am coherent during the meeting and bring up good suggestions.
I guess you could say I'm being promoted in my job at the library. they are naming me a sort of student leader as well as five other studnts that are responsible workers and know the library well. I'm actually rather honored that I have that kind of respect here.
But yeah, my new job will be to help out other student workers and educate them about a few things, just where things are and how to use programs, to essentially be on-call if I am needed, to make suggestions and help make sure things get done. In a way, I'm like management.
It's pretty cool.

And that's where I am now, in the library, in my element, behind the desk(because I saw that no one showed. GRRRR!).

To say the least I had an interesting night.
And now I think I'm going to head back to my room since another person has showed up. I need to do some dishes and work.

Peace out.
~Lo

P.S.

Here's the skit that I was in. I'm the one with the big lavender sack stealing toys.
