It sounds like it'll be a lot more involved than your typical interview, taking a whole day. The interview is just a small part of the day! I guess it gives them a better idea of who to hire, but it sounds more than a little nerve-wracking! Looks like I've got all the comments for The Bunyip back from Critters now - a grand total of 14 crits! Now the fun task of sorting the grain from the chaff begins. While I'm at it, I'll be changing the title to something a little less direct, but still appropriate. With a bit of elbow-grease, I should be able to get the final draft done within the next week or so and submit it soon afterward. I have a market in mind too :) The only difficulty I can see is that one of the crits raised a lot of thorny issues with the story and at this stage I'm not sure how much of an impact that'll have on the next draft. We wouldn't want the rework to be too easy now, would we? :P As far as the novel goes, I guess I'm switching over to short story mode for awhile. I still need to sort out the chronology of the next few scenes before I can continue writing it. I'm also trying to come up with a couple more thematic things to add more depth. On the plus side, I do have a jumble of events and character motivations I can use. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
