Earlier this afternoon I posted my 2003 year-in-review. Now that 2004 is fast approaching, it's time to get those goals (or resolutions) primed and ready!

My goals / resolutions for 2004

1. Get a decent job - this is easier said than done. I've been trying all year, but surely 2004 has to have a better job market than the tepid excuse that was 2003, right?

2. Do plenty of travelling with my wife - we love to travel, and we'll be travelling at the beginning of the New Year, so this one's off to a good start! We don't have any big trips planned this year, but weekend road trips are always on the agenda. Who knows, maybe we can even make it up to Canada at some point? (I haven't been permitted to leave the US until recently, you see)

3. Keep up my fiction writing efforts and stay motivated - as a sub-goal, I'd like to double my 2003 story output and write at least 12 new stories this year. No promises on the novel, however ;)

4. Have some guitar lessons! - my poor electric guitar has barely left its case this year. In 2002 I decided to live my life-long dream to learn the electric guitar, so I went out and bought an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. Reviving my rusty music-reading skills, I learned a bunch of basic note fingerings and some chords but didn't advance much beyond that. For the last few months of '02 until now, I've barely used it. Time for some lessons, I say!

Oh, and one more thing before I go...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
