Woohoo! This afternoon I received a FedEx containing a job offer from one of the companies I was interviewed by the other week! Needless to say, I took the opportunity with both hands :) I'll either start next week or the week after, depending on how quickly all the employment-related stuff gets taken care of.

We celebrated by going out to dinner at a nice restaurant, and we even had dessert (the Tiramisu was delicious). Thanks to the weekend shopping spree, I'm all set as far as work attire, and I'm looking forward to finally getting back to work!

Worrying about finding work has been quite a drain on me creatively, so hopefully I'll be more productive from now on! Now that I've said that, I hope I don't end up working insane hours...

I read the December 2003 issue of Realms of Fantasy yesterday. This issue wasn't spectacular by any means, but I did have a couple of favourites. My picks for best of issue are Tim Pratt's Romanticore (an intriguing modern urban love story with a dash of myth), and Richard Parks' Yamabushi (a humorous battle of wits between a wandering Japanese warrior and a mythical creature).

I'm currently reading the latest Electric Velocipede, and I'll have some thoughts on that shortly.
