2005-01-01 6:51 PM 2004 Readings & Scribblings Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative Read/Post Comments (0) I thought I'd take one last look back at 2004 before diving into things for 2005. Here are the final set of stats for 2004:
I was a bit disappointed with the amount I wrote in 2004, since I passed 64,000 words in 2003 and was hoping to write at least that in 2004. On the plus side, I did write more stories (albeit shorter ones) and doubled the number of story submissions over 2003. I also reckon my writing improved a great deal, thanks in no small part to joining a new online critique group earlier this year. Watch out 2005 ;) On the reading front, I read a lot less than last year. That's quite understandable since 2004 was a busy year with lots of distractions. Since getting an iPod, I've also listened to a fair number of audiobooks, which certainly makes the short drive to and from work more enjoyable. Here's what I read/listened to in 2004 (not counting the dozens of stories I've read online): Books Galaxy : The Light Years and Dark Years, David L. Rosheim Magazines/Chapbooks/etc Asimov's: September '03, Oct/Nov '03, Dec '03 Audiobooks (see Audible.com for most of these) The Lion of Comarre and Other Stories (Collection Vol 1), Arthur C. Clarke Onward for 2005! What I'm Reading: Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
