Again, I'm going through one of those busy patches with few entries. Weekend before last was ultra-busy, and this one less so. Among other things, Carrie got a new car ('06 model Pontiac G6), relatives were over, got stung by a damn wasp (!), went stargazing and to an Astronomy club meeting, and saw War of the Worlds (v. good).

I'm also attempting to write more, rather than merely writing about writing. A quick look at my wordcounts over the last few months convinced me that I need to get my act together! To get the ball rolling, I wrote the next part of an Egyptian-themed collaborative tale I'm working on with another member of the critique group. It'd been quite awhile since I'd worked on that one, but I'm pleased with the latest instalment :)

Next up is a series of flash pieces I'll be attempting to write in a challenge with the friend in Oz! At some point I'd also like to polish up a couple of the older stories laying around and get them doing the rounds with the others (currently 5 are out there).

More to come when I'm feeling particularly indulgent and can find the time to write more entries. Cheers!
