Things have been pretty quiet around here lately. I haven't written any new stuff since my last entry, although I have done a decent amount of editing on older stories. I've got a small pile of story ideas outlined in sufficient detail such that I could actually write them, but I haven't felt particularly motivated just yet. That burst of productivity early in January probably did me in ;)

I seem to write in cycles, with alternating peaks and troughs of productivity. At this point I'm hoping the trough has bottomed-out and I'm on the upward path again. It's sort of depressing when I don't have either the energy or inclination to write new stuff.

While I wait for motivation to return, I've been doing my best to keep stories circulating through various markets. I've currently got 11 doing the rounds, which is a new personal record. With a bit of persistence that number should continue to climb, and hopefully at a faster rate than it has until this point.

On the plus side, I do seem to get a lot more reading done in these quiet intervals. I'll be wrapping up Polyphony 4 over the weekend and I'm keen to get started on Stephen King's latest....
