2006-05-24 11:45 PM The Biggest Wiscon Evar! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Excited Read/Post Comments (0) Well, you blink and the entire month of May passes you by. I've been flat out with both work and gardening since my last entry, hence the cobwebs around this place. The lawns have been mowed, the rose garden, mulch and edging are in place, and I'm nearly done planting both veggie patches. I'll post an update with more photos when I get around to it :) In two days time at this hour we'll be at Wiscon, no doubt taking in some interesting panel or other (so many to choose from!) or having a gab at one or more parties. We can't wait! We've been to a lot of the attractions outside of Madison over the past few years, so this year we're planning on checking out some stuff in Madison itself before we check into the hotel. Since the weather looks like it'll be nice, we might pop by the UW Arboretum and the Olbrich Botanical Gardens for a pleasant stroll. If you're going, we'll see you there! And if you can't make it, know that we'll be having an absolute blast ;) I'll be taking copious panel notes as usual, but I'm undecided about whether I'll do a con report this year. We'll see how it goes. This'll be the biggest Wiscon ever, by all accounts. Attendance has been capped at 1,000 people, and it sounds like both the con and the hotel were sold out months ago. They've also got quite a list of previous Guests of Honour who'll be attending. I'm staring at the huge schedule and wondering how on earth I'm going to pick between so many interesting readings, panels, and other odds and ends. Anyone got some hot tips?
