I'll add to the chorus of my LJ flist and offer my hearty congratulations to Obama. While I don't yet have the right to vote, I'm pleased with the outcome and looking forward to what President Obama can achieve in the years ahead. He's got a helluva tough job ahead of him, but I reckon he's ready to tackle it and the many tough decisions to come.

As for his opponent, I found McCain's concession speech to be surprisingly impressive and quite a contrast to his debate performance. The crowd weren't so impressed, but that's understandable.

For the first time in years this country finally has a glimmer of hope :)
