2006-01-01 5:33 AM 20 months Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Happy Read/Post Comments (1) On Allex's first Birthday, we went to SoCal for a party with the family. I have video of it and it was so much fun! At the end of the trip, Allex came down with his first flu. It was difficult to deal with for the first time. He recovered after about one week and was back to his usual behavior.
Since that time, alot has changed. Mommy bought a house and we moved in about September, making Allex 16 months old when we moved. At that time, Allex had about a 30 word vocabulary. (I know because my Dad and I counted.) :) He said one word at a time. Now, at 20 months, Allex says 2-3 words together. He knows and can say; his colors, primary and secondary; the Alphabet, except for w and z; numbers 1-10; most animals you find at the zoo; body parts; clothes; multitudes of other things like soap, toys, trains, ball, most eating utensils, most cooking utensils, blanket, book, bed pillow ... I could go on and on. An important thing to note is he's now using adjectives. Now he says, the green spoon or the yellow spoon. He is sleeping through the night and feeding himself. He walks, runs, climbs, etc. He laughs at little jokes he makes, plays peek-a-boo, sings little songs he makes up. He has a cheery disposition most of the time. It's alot of fun watching his progression. Everyone tells me he's advanced for his age. Most of it is due to his genetics. And the rest is from having loving, attentive family and friends around. Heredity and environment are both so important. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
