This is one of my favourite pictures of me, my brother, my Dad, and our first dog, Jigsy. Probably taken around 1953 or so.

And here is the Birthday Boy. My ex-husband, Bill. I know it's a bad-quality photo but I scanned it from a larger collage.

We had three geese then, and I don't know which one this was, but they were called Gonzo, Goshawk, and Gossamer, I think. Those geese made a mess of our yard and ate all our grass, which was good, I suppose, because it was back in the days when we didn't own a lawnmower.

If it weren't for memories, I don't know how I'd make it through each day anymore. It's the one thing about getting older that is a good thing.
