Our Pampered Pets

I have mixed feelings about dog shows. Being the "parents" of two pure-bred collie dogs, I can appreciate people loving them and wanting to live with them, and even showing them off. But I really have to wonder how much the dogs actually love the life of a show dog, on the road all the time, even going on planes - that's one thing I could never do - put my pet in a crate on a plane. That's why I couldn't move to England as long as I have a dog because in all good conscience I could not put them down in the storage hold of a plane.
But I do enjoy watching a dog show and wish I got Crufts Dog Show on TV here. Maybe I can find it online.
This picture above just hit my funny bone. And then there's this beautiful specimen that I couldn't leave out:
So gorgeous. I would love to have one of these dogs someday - is it a Scottish wolfhound? Irish wolfhound? not sure. I've seen a man walking two of these dogs locally along the beach and they are so big!
