Last night, in the wee hours when radio has all its charms in my nightly attempt to fall asleep, I discovered a new singing duo called The Milk Carton Kids. I tuned in to an oddball station, I know not which one, and they were in the middle of a song.

I'm a sucker for acoustic guitar music and mellow voices with beautiful harmony. These two young men are fabulous. Some think they are the resurrection of another wonderfully mellow duet, Simon and Garfunkle, and yes, their music is similar but it's NEW music, folks, new acoustic music and I'm here waiting for my copies of their 3 albums to arrive in the mail soon.

They consider themselves a live band and prefer playing to live audiences, so they do a lot of traveling. They originally were giving their CDs away for free just to get their name recognition going, but I think they are catching on now.

I think you'll enjoy, if you're like me, a child of the 50's and 60's who can't get enough of this beautiful music.
