Passing along something fun

Good Sunday afternoon to you all.

Just a quickie from me today. And I have to give credit where credit is due - to my dear friend, Sandy-from-Iowa who frequents this blog as a reader and commenter. Sandy sent me Episode 1 of a very interesting show that I thought you all might enjoy:

SERVANTS: THE TRUE STORY OF LIFE BELOW STAIRS.

Episode 1:

Episode 2:

Episode 3:

I watched all of Episode 1 early this morning with my cuppa, and although I hadn't planned on sitting here for a whole hour, I was fascinated by it and finished the episode. Now I have two more to watch and I am hoping they are as good as the first one was.

So, thank you, Sandy, for thinking of me. Love to find shows like this. Hey, who needs TV when we have YouTube!

In fact, when the host came to the part about Mrs. Beeton's Book of Household Management, I had to go looking for my copy of that book, and I found it and got stuck into it for a bit today. Amazing stuff.

Remember, Sandy, the day we each got a copy of this book during our trip to Yorkshire together? You got the old (antique) version and I got the newer modern one, so you could share it with the Farms? It may have been written over 100 years ago but there is still a lot of good advice in that book that we can all use even today.

Enjoy, and cheers!

Bex

Find your heart, open up both your eyes.
We can all know every thing without ever knowing why.
It's in every one of us, by and bye.
