2013-11-10 12:53 PM Double ended spectrum Keeping out of trouble. There is something about a Sunday morning, a pile of books waiting to be opened again and read, a crisp autumn day, a husband outside raking leaves, and a dog sleeping peacefully, quietly, dreamily on the sofa beside one... to know that heaven can truly be here on earth. But even as I am appreciating my surroundings today, I can't forget those souls, a half a world away, who are clinging to life in a storm-swept country, waiting for help, crying for help - today! not tomorrow but today, she says, and then, after a moment, "we are living in hell, this worse than hell..." And all I can do is ask "why?" Contrasts. I'm feeling severe contrasts in the world today, and I'm also feeling guilty for being on the happy end of this spectrum while men, women, children, and let's not forget the animals, are so unhappy at this moment... and needing so much. Bex Find your heart, open up both your eyes. We can all know every thing without ever knowing why. It's in every one of us, by and bye. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Niamh Parsons 2003 - Present Archives at Diaryland Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
