Shout-Out Sunday No. 18 - Finale

I'm sorry to say that this is the final Shout-Out Sunday entry I'll be doing. And the worst part is that it's not even an offering at all but just the announcement that I've run into a wall - a blogger's wall - and just don't have it in me to do this any longer.

This is not to say I'm retiring from this blog but just the every-Sunday-web-site-offering I've been doing for 18 Sundays now. It's over. Its time has come.

The seasons are changing now, winter to summer (whatever happened to spring, anyway???) and my brain is changing over to summertime thoughts. Those of you who know me well know that I won't be packing up the car and going to the beach, or trudging up a mountain trail, or hopping on my bike and taking a ride anytime soon. I'll just be here, like I always am, trying to get through the heat of summer in one piece and not turning into a puddle.

I've just made myself a big pot of soup, of all things, on a warmish Sunday morning, too. The only reason for this was that we had a head each of cauliflower and green cabbage that have been in the fridge for a while and needed to be used up, and the only way I could see using them both in a recipe was a soup. I just added some small red potatoes, two onions sliced up, some bacon and a bowlful of rice I also had leftover in the fridge. It made a giant pot of this soup and I'm not sure we will EVER finish it, but there you are... soup on a warm summery-but-still-spring day in May.

I feel bad that I didn't find a good web site for you in a whole week... I was either watching Emmalee with her medical issues or the tennis tournament going on in Rome which is in its final minutes even as I write this entry. Didn't turn out the way I wanted on the women's side, but then it never does, and the men's side offers some hope (Go Rafa!) but I won't bet on it.

A movie is on the Lifetime channel right now that I've switched to, "Unfaithful" starring Diane Lane and Richard Gere. I have this movie, I have seen it quite a few times, it's one of my favorite movies of all time, but it's quite a sad movie.

So there you have it.

I will leave you with this, a simple photograph, that I have uploaded to my new photo hosting place, PhotoBucket, which I do like actually...

It's a collage I made a while ago when Sandy and I found a site that makes collages out of your photos...

Cheers for dogs, for blogs and for friends who read them, even when there's not much to say...

Bex

"I can never read all the books I want;
I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.
I can never train myself in all the skills I want.
And why do I want?
I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life.
And I am horribly limited.
