Brainsalad The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy I'm a middle aged government attorney living in a rural section of the northeast U.S. I'm unmarried and come from a very large family. When not preoccupied with family and my job, I read enormous amounts, toy with evolutionary theory, and scratch various parts on my body. This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence. |

2005-10-20 5:34 PM Cycles of interest Now for another self-absorbed observation about me:
I seem to go through cycles of interest in things that last between six months and a year and a half. I was heavily into learning the piano for about nine months. Then I got interested online roleplaying games for about six months. My trees interest has waxed and waned for the past year and a half and seems to be waning yet again (despite the fact that we are in the middle of leaf peak). I am currently about a month into another cycle of interest. It's a pretty positive development though and I don't want to jinx it for a bit, so I'm going to just keep at it for at least another month before mentioning it here. Other items of interest: It is now about a year and a half since I got rid the TV I had been using. About six months ago, I got another one, and I have gone weeks at a time without turning it on at all. I suppose in part it has been replaced by the internet, but I think the internet is a slightly better waste of my time than the boob tube. Ok. I'm waiting a few more minutes before I have to go visit a client. That is all. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
