The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy

I'm a middle aged government attorney living in a rural section of the northeast U.S. I'm unmarried and come from a very large family. When not preoccupied with family and my job, I read enormous amounts, toy with evolutionary theory, and scratch various parts on my body.

This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

Muscles and trees

Ever notice that some people are naturally muscled in certain areas? Like my daughter's mother. She has these very well defined calves. Her brothers that I went to high school were the same way. My daughter was pointing it out, because she got my legs. Me on the hand, I've always found it easy to get my stomach in shape. Even now when I'm about 40 lbs overweight, there is still some definition to my abs. With a minimal level of work, I can rapidly get to the point where I can do sit ups forever.

This topic came up because my daughter has been running lately, and is glad that she is finally getting some definition to her calves. I've acquired some myself from all the hiking I've been doing. It's nowwhere near what my daughter's mother or her brothers have without any significant effort that I'm aware of.

This year, I'm paying much more attention to the trees blooming. I know, I've been stuck on this subject for years, but for some reason this year I've really been struck by how beautiful the spring changes are. The apple tree across the street from work place has really mesmerized me this year. The timing of blossoms on different parts of the tree seem much more sensitive to light than surronding trees. The branches on other trees seem to all sprout flowers and leaves uniformly throughout the tree. This apple tree though started blossoming on the top, and south facing sides a few days before the bottom and north facing side. Also leaf buds further in take longer than those on the outside. So it has gone from bare to blossoming white to pale green to full green in waves starting at the top, south side and outside, and then crept to the northside, bottom of the tree, and then inward.
