2007-03-13 9:15 AM Of course I had to see it Saw "300" yesterday. Good, but not as good as "Sin City". The cinematograpy and the fighting corregraphy were very impressive, but I thought there was a bit too much narration, and I wasn't compelled by the characters. I enjoyed myself though, and I'd recommend it.
Have to say though that the director, Zach Taylor, is now lined up as the latest person to try to put the graphic novel "Watchmen" to the screen. I'd rather see Ridley Scott (Blade Runner) or Sam Raimi (Spiderman) do it. "300" doesn't have a lot of subtly to it, and I think "Watchmen" needs someone who can layer meaning. Ang Lee of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" fame might be good too. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
