I feel this complulsive need to make a journal entry today, to break the gloomy cycle of my recent posts...BUT, at the same time, I have absolutely nothing of substance to say.

I'm still going to write something though...anything.

I guess I like to talk...a lot.
My FIL frequently tells me "You've got some rattle, you"

'Strange...but true'.

Strange because...for someone who can talk and type incessantly (and I usually do, if you haven't noticed *lol*) it's not that often I actually pick up the phone and initiate a call.

Why is that?.

Maybe because all I'd have to share, with the unlucky recipient, is a bunch of old waffle?

Like this.

Don't get me wrong...I love to chat on the phone (of course!).

I just figure that if someone calls me, then frankly, they asked for it and should be prepared to hear about something, everything, nothing...and you can be sure that they will.

Tele-sales people adore me, of course. Ha! .

Spring is in the air!!!...Oh yeah, I already said that a couple of weeks ago.

(I'd kind of forgotten...what with the rain, wind and snow we've had since then).

The BIL and his family arrive on Friday and it has suddenly hit me how many of those little cleaning jobs can't be ignored any longer...

WE know not to use the mayonnaise (use by Nov 2004), and that the carousel in the cupboard will snap if you actually try to rotate it.

We also know not to twitch even a muscle when you sit on the kitchen chairs (of which we only have 3 anyway).
God I hope they don't have laundry...my washer's still not fixed.

The simple fact is...there are way too many warnings to list...I need to get up out of this chair (carefully) and get some work done.

First job, I'm going to give the appliance technician a call. Hmm..I wonder if he likes to chat?...
