It is stormy here, with dark skies and threatening thunder and it mirrors what is going on on the inside for me.

After feeling like we just might raise the money for the Taize trip (or more! hallelujah!) last week, I just found out a $5,000 gift that we had counted on will not be coming. And, to make matters worse, we were hoping for 30-40 at this wine tasting tonight, and we have something like 12.

We have the tickets purchased to get to Paris, but we still need about $2,000 to pay those off (and it will come in with the money from the kids), but what after that? Now I'm scared that there is no way this is going to happen and we have spent $13,000 on tickets that will get us no where!

I am so freaked out about this that my chest is tight and I don't know if I want to cry or start calling people that I haven't spoken to in years to ask them for money.

O God, you parted the Red Sea, you raised Jesus from the dead, can even you pull out a miracle on this one?
