2006-04-30 12:04 AM This Week in Words A Monday forgotten
no memory of it at all Tuesday morning hurtful words said in spite walking out the front door Forgiveness happened with balloons and a card and a coffee mug Babysitters are wonderful as is Costco and a good dinner Wednesday W. left and tears were spent by A. as he and I stayed home because of his cold Students still came and went that day and I prayed at yet another banquet After six days of dating a talented and bright young woman came to ask if she should consider staying home with "their future children" just to make him happy Oh, they so want to be loved and to be "the one" for someone else; but it opened up a wound in me about not being there enough for A., which led to... Thursday gut-wrenching and hard A. back to the doctor with a chest cold new medicine helped him tears and wails of sorrow tore open a wound in me as I left him at daycare Too much work this week Students anxious Reports due Plans to be finalized At Wal-Mart until 9:45 buying things for Field Day Friday Joyous! Amazing! 45-page packet for students about France DONE! Things, miraculously, if not slowly, falling into place Campus Ministry won most involvement on campus We then hosted our first annual Field Day (remember elementary school?) and I had to rush home before getting A. to wash whipped cream out of my ear Later, found out that my grandmother is in the hospital again; doesn't seem serious Too much to say to express what I felt finding out almost a day after she went in Saturday low-key; we still miss W. who is gone for 6 more days (A. and I count down) hung out with some of W.'s family at their place then drove to shop with a student and A. her car breaks down in the middle of two highways merging Cingular road-side assistance, slow Students pull up behind us rescue us from the heat and the traffic friends come tow-truck comes rental car works out....(yeah, Avis!)
