I haven't posted anything for a while and thought I'd take a moment to fill you in on the interesting happenings going on in my life...

So thanks for stopping by. Goodnight everybody!!!

In all seriousness, things are going rather well, and my daily activities are rather mundane at the moment. However, Jah and I are getting ready to head down to Tampa with my parents for my brother's big fat geek wedding... just kidding. He is not a geek, and could, in fact, thrash me to no end. I'm his "big brother," but since I was 9 or so, he has dwarfed me... my big little brother. I'm 5'8", and he's 6'1" or 6'2" now... it's hard for me to tell for sure, because when I make him mad, he seems to grow a few more inches...

I remember as a child, playing the original Nintendo Super Mario Brothers, he would pound on my arm when he died, because it would be my turn to play and the glee at being my turn was interpreted as glee at Luigi's demise (I always had to be Mario... and I was kinda glad he fell down the pits) When confronted with this physical threat, I would employ my wits and use the psychological tactic of laughing all the while my arm was turned into a bruised mass, which made him hit harder, which made me laugh harder... Ah, good times... but it did prepare me for the arm beatings in high school... Freshman algebra (when the nerds beat on you for being a nerd... *sigh*...) I got contact lenses and stopped "knowing all the answers" soon after, as a measure of self-protection... thus my quietness (in person) today. I do have my moments, though...

Back to the lecture at hand...

We are leaving tomorrow morning, riding along in a rental car with my parents, stopping for breakfast and hopefully will be in Tampa by dusk... I'm best man, so I will begin "feeling Tim out" (stop it you sickos) to see what he wants to do for his last night of bachelorhood... which, to be quite honest, was a year ago... You see, Tim and Kate decided to get married in a civil ceremony before he left for his new job in Nevada as they have very traditional values and didn't want to "live in sin..." *whistling innocently*

So this weekend is the formal religious ceremony, occurring on their one year anniversary. Kinda cool and I'm proud of my brother for sticking with his beliefs. He and Kate are wonderful together, and she is so good for him. We love her to death.

Friday is the rehearsal dinner, and Saturday evening is the ceremony and reception... we drive back on Sunday. To be quite honest, I'm looking forward to a break from Pensacola, and a hotel room and a pool and seeing my brother and aunt and uncle and cousin are such a welcome thing to me. I cannot remember the last time we were all together... was it really 2 years ago at my wedding?

I'm going to have a blast, and I hope Jah enjoys herself as well... I can't wait to see her in the little black dress she bought (I'm sure she will be happy to see me in a tux...)

Take care.
