Today I:
Dropped Wonder Girl off at a parishioners's house to take the train to My Kind of Town to see the stage production of The Lion King. Ate my ticket to the same production, because I just couldn't take a day off in the middle of the week with three services to write. I told the elders who took WG that if they scalped my ticket, to please Not Tell Me and make an anonymous donation to the "roof fund" of the church. Wrote a Committal, a Service of Witness to the Resurrection, and a Service for the Lord's Day complete with Elder Ordination/Installation. Whew! Lifted over 6,000 pounds on my 11 fitness machines. Those computers that keep track of that stuff are amazing! Weighed myself and saw that I've lost 7 pounds. I don't care if it's water, fat, or skin I've sloughed off in the shower--I'll take it! Held an 18-hours-old baby. He has the same first name as my son, and an amazing coal-black mullet down to his little shoulders. Cutie! (Edit: no, he's not my grandson--he's the organist's kid. Yikes!) The circle feels pretty complete today. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
