...and in the bright light of day, too.
I'm awake. Wide awake. Mind numbingly awake. I'm prone to insomnia. I blame it on the hormonal changes of peri-peri-peri-menopouse. The last time I slept more than 3 hours at a stretch was, um, some time in July. I have slept a total of 8.5 hours since last Saturday night. I'm cranky, I'm loopy, I'm out buying coffee in the afternoon. I'm in the middle of VBS, and I'm running the whole damn show. (Told you I was cranky!) What's that you say? Brisk exercise early in the day, mild OTC sleeping aides, cutting off eating way before bedtime, taking a warm (not hot) bath an hour before retiring, abstain from alcohol, make sure the room is cool and dark? Done it all. It doesn't work for me. I'm praying to get through the Personnel and Session meetings that I have back to back tonight. Wish me luck!
