THE MEME


1. What is your first name? I have one of the most popular names given in the early 60's. Most of my friends have had the same name!

2. Were you named after anyone? My middle name is my mother's, but otherwise, I'm guessing no.

3. Do you wish on stars? yes

4. When did you last cry? This morning when I heard that a family that has been struggling to adopt twins finally got their court date next week. Tears of joy!

5. Do you like your handwriting? It's nice when I slow down.

6. What is your favorite lunch meat? Some variation on smoked turkey.

7. What is your most embarrassing CD? Hmmm... I don't know. I don't have very many. I really like the radio.

8. If you were another person, would you be friends with you? Maybe. I'd have to get to know me first and see.

9. Do you have a journal? Just this Blog.

10. Do you use sarcasm a lot? What do *you* think?

11. What are your nicknames? Closely related to my real name. Oh, and Rev.

14. Do you think that you are strong? I feel stronger every time I got to the gym.

18. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? The fact that I have several "least favorite" things about myself.

22. What are you listening to right now? My family is watching SNL on tivo in the next room.

25. What is the weather like right now? Warm and sunny, with low humidity. Perfect.

29. Favorite drink? Roasted on the premises, ground at home just before I brew it, organic, fair trade, shade grown coffee. Preferably Guatamalan.

40. What is your favorite dessert? Butterscotch Creme Brulee, at the Buckhorn Roadhouse in Mill Valley, CA. Preferably a table upstairs near the balcony. With the cute waiter who looks like John-John.

43. What books are you reading? A collection of essays chosen by David Sedaris, and one by Jonathan Franzen, and The Birth of Venus, which I am reading for our church book group.

44. What's on your mouse pad? Nothing. Infrared mouse.

45. What did you watch on TV last night? A kitchen makeover show on Food TV.

46. Favorite smells? Autumnal smells--leaves, fireplaces, hearty cooking.

47. Favorite sound? My kids'laughter.

48. Rolling Stones or Beatles? Beatles.

49. What's the furthest you've been from your home? People's Republic of China. I was in Tiennanmen Square on the 10th anniversay of the stand-off there, which was also my 36th birthday.

50. Do you have a special talent? Not going crazy at home.

51. What is your ring tone? When OEH calls, it is Edelweiss, when the kids call, it is Hungarian March. When people for whom I won't necessarily answer it call, it is plain old "phone ringing sound".
