I just e-mailed the Nominating Committee member who contacted me, telling him that yes, the committee may consider me for this role. I don't know how it works in bigger, fancier Presbyteries, but in ours seldom are additional names added to the nomination pot for this kind of thing. You get asked, you say yes or no. If you say yes you are extremely likely to end up doing the thing you said yes to.

So there it is.

For better or for worse, I seem to have caught the attention of some people in the Presbytery. Or, maybe they really needed another female in at least one chair, and it was "Hey, cheesehead's just got that 'little brown church in the vale' thing going on, she can't be that busy, so let's ask her." Whatever.

I'm just going to try to be faithful...

EDIT: I'm a dork. There is a woman already on the leadership team. She co-moderates a similar committee. My bad. But now there will be two.
