This week's Friday Five is simple. Name five things you believe--these don't have to be long statements--short sentences, both serious and frivolous.

This list is by no means exhaustive:

1. I believe that I am a product of both my nature and my nurture.
2. I believe that a pedicure can be as beneficial as 50 minutes of talk therapy.
3. I believe that my children will someday both be successful, fulfilled, productive, and happy on their own terms. This may not happen for them in the order in which they were born.
4. I believe that really good things can come into a woman's life after the age of 40.
5. I believe that no matter how badly we mortals try to screw up the world, God's goodness and love prevail.
