Two weeks from today, our VBS program begins. We have five children registered. Five. Although I believe strongly in the biblical idea that "Wherever two or more are gathered..." I don't think that five kids, three of whom are there because their parents are VBS teachers, is viable.
The folks here are unwilling to get behind doing VBS in any way other than the mid-century, "three morning hours on Mon-Fri" mode. I suggested a weekend multi-generational, an evening program (again multi-generational). Nothing doing. They want VBS like they had it, back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. They are going to be so pissed at me if this fails, and I'm going to feel like a failure. Read/Post Comments (22) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
