A weird, unexpected turn of events has occurred. In mid-August, I will be leaving America for Japan to teach English forty minutes outside of Tokyo. I just found out the other night, and now as I pack my apartment, I am running around trying to also do all the things I have to do in order to leave the country. I am excited, nervous, and completely happy about all this. I feel like the past few years have been a huge low point in my life, and now the future seems wide open. I will continue to be cautious about all of this until my feet hit Japanese soil. Then I'll know for sure that I've started something new and, hopefully, amazing.
