Ok...

...so I stood in line all day Wednesday to be in line for Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

I'm never doing this again.

Not to say that it was a horrible experience, but it certainly wasn't all that. Hanging around Burbank for about 24 hours isn't really my idea of a good time. However, I won't say that it wasn't worth it to see thr movie. The movie kicked ass. I'll run down a thing or two:

Pros:
* Lightsabers
* Jedi
* Obi-Wan's a badass
* Yoda's a badass
* Mace Windu's a badass *and* has a purple lightsaber
* Cool aliens, especially Twileks
* Cool, non-Naboo spaceships
* Lots of lightsabers
* Lots of Jedi
* It's really all about the Twileks
* Anakin's a badass when he doesn't speak
* Hayden Christiansen isn't painful to watch or listen to
* Cool fight/battle scenes
* All the clones are Maori
* Very light on the Jar-Jar
* Not too much out of the Neimoidians, either
* Cool surprises!

Cons:
* Ewan's beard looks kinda scraggily up close
* Better choices than Hayden out there; he delivers his lines sleepily
* "Dooku" is a stupid name
* Christopher Lee not really The Shit
* Hayden and Natalie have very little chemistry and the writing doesn't help* Naboo's funky chrome ships are kind of off-putting
* No clear reason for Dooku's bent-handled lightsaber, since he appears to fight like everyone else with it. Ergonomics, maybe?
* Aside fom Mace Windu (see above), no variety in lightsabers
* "Big Murder" scene not long enough
* Whining is genetic
* A few plot bits were somewhat unclear
In any event, the pros outweigh the cons. The movie is lots of fun and should thrill any Star Wars fan. See it.
