So I'm watching Wimbledon in my bedroom right now, having been moved off the upstairs machine that actually has internet access due to my sister's ever-present e-bay addiction. At least she's selling more than she's buying. There's some sort of Gymboree Mafia out there that she's either competing with or become a part of, I'm not sure which.

Wimbledon is the only tennis I make an effort to wach (though I've occasionally seen other matches) and I never seem to remember when it starts beyond "sometime in June." I've been watching with very little consistency, so I only know the huge stars that have been around for years and, occasionally, the hot chicks. I have, for some reason, never bothered to learn the rules. Perhaps I'll learn after I finish with this.

Agassi is two games ahead at this moment, his bald ass going toe-to-toe with Philippoussis, who is, like, ten years younger. Go Agassi. :)

I started watching back when I was fourteen, when tennis was the main portion of my 9th grade PE class. I enjoyed the hell out of it, even though we only worked on how to play and never learned the rules. Our tennis coach, whose name I've long forgotten, was a black guy who drove a very old, mid-engine Porsche and talked with me about some of the pro-players.

Back when I started watching, Wimbledon was all about NBC if you wanted to watch the entire thing during the day or HBO if you wanted the highlights. Now it's about ESPN2, though I think one of the channels out there is broadcasting it live.

Philippoussis is ahead in the fourth set, I've figured out that much.

It occurs to me that I've never seen an actual grass or clay court, except through a television. Clay seems designed to try and kill people, though.

Matthew Perry has front row seats. He appears to be clean, sober, and very interested in the game.

I'm going to have to check one of the websites later to figure out when the women are playing. Women's tennis is more interesting to watch and not just for the spank factor, either (though I'll certainly admit I used to get erections whenever I heard Martina Hingis grunt after hitting the ball ;).

So, what else is new in the world this week? Not a damn thing. Friday was Miss Kitty's, which is always fun, but still not very danceable. Saturday was an entire day of gaming and Sunday was recovery. Kept wanting to go out, but consistently lacked gas and motivation. The headache didn't help, either.

Agassi is still getting is butt kicked in this particular game, but he's trying to come back.

I called CCT today and hopefully will get into an outpatient study that'll pay $500 over ten weeks. Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I can get another shot at the AMC, since they still need people.

I've taken to reading Yaga's TD on my computer instead of just inishing Missing Angel Juan, so now I'm switching off between the two depending on my mood and whether I'm home or out. I should speed up on both of them so I can move onto Jennifer Government, but I've always taken my time (and other people's) with reading unless I'm somewhere where it's the most interesting thing I've got going on (like the DMV, which was resonsible for my devouring of Cherokee Bat and The Goat Guys in about a day).

Philippoussis has tied up the match, so I think they've won two sets(?) a piece. Fuck, I need to actually learn how the game works...

The new episode of Out of Order starts in an hour on the east coast Showtime feed, so I'm going to attempt to force that onto the television during dinner instead of Life & Times and whatever Huel Hauser is up to.

By the time you read this, if you care, I'm sure you'll be able to find out who won the match on your own.
