So, last night was rather interesting.

Started off rollin' 'round Melrose with Tim & Elisa, as they were in the market for funky cool gothstore jackets. Hit Shrine, of course, and even found rockstar parking right out front. Man, they got some fine-ass threads up in that joint and, I gotta say, it's one of the few times in my life where I woulda sprung $100+ for a jacket if I'd had it. I remember looking at one and saying, "This looks like somethin' Sean Alexander might have." The obvious reply was, of course, that that was a Good Thing.

Eventually, we got done droolin' over the pimp threads and wandered the streets a bit. Hit Aardvark's and poked our heads in a few other joints.

Passed The Godfather of Soul as he was getting back into his limo, after taking pictures with some group of Asian kids.

"Dude, that's James Brown!"

"What? Where?"

"In the limo!"

"What? No way!"

"I'm tellin' you, he's in the limo. That's who the kids were getting a photo with."

So that was kinda surreal.

So much so, in fact, that it required us hitting The Red Lion Tavern for some German food.

While there, we ate, watched the Ducks get slaughtered by Calgary, the Lakers make a decent headway after a slow start with none of their stars on ther floor, and our authentically German waitress appearing to ignore us for large periods of time.

After that, it was off to the Kitty, wherein everyone but Rico (who was late), 'Becca and me got hammered outta their ass.

Gute zeiten.
