2004-04-12 2:58 AM Can you put me up for the night? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Pleased Read/Post Comments (0) Let's see...pretty much just lounged around today. Barely even watched any TV. I think I just did a standard examination (of porn) of my computer, caught a shower, and had dinner. (For the love of all that's fucking holy, can I GET a goddamned ham that doesn't have cloves on it!? ANYONE?! Yes, I've been known to smoke the odd clove; doesn't mean I want to eat the shit.) But dinner was all right.
Then, much to my surprise, a girl I'd been chatting with on IM (and who'd started reading my LJ a few months back) gave me a ring. I'd dialed her yesterday and she was rather busy, but said she'd call back. Cynical bastard that I am, I wasn't going to hold my breath. And yet, call back she did. Chatted for a bit. Ok, an hour. Whenever this happens, I tend to take it as a positive sign. Decided to hang out. A quick hop up to the valley later and we're chatting a bit more over Starbucks chai until we're kicked out. Then it's back to her place for another hour's worth of conversation. As usual, I cconversed in a manner wherein I know more about the other person than they know about me. Works every time. (Actually, I kid. It's not intentional, I just usually ask a lot of questions when I'm getting to know someone and people almost never ask any back. The longer this goes on, the longer I can go without running out of things to talk about with a given person. I find it useful and am never insulted by what could be construed by some people as a lack of interest.) All in all, I had a great evening with an attractive young woman. I hope we'll be able to hang out again and it certainly seems likely. (This is great, as opposed to wonderful, which often indicates physical contact more intimate than a hug.) I think I need to cut my hair, though. It's starting to annoy me again and I'm not seeing any benefit in growing it. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
