I just got back a bit ago from picking up my payment at Catch One. Certainly took long enough, since I decided that, in an effort to save a bit of walking and a little money that I'd take the Red Line to Civic Center and catch the 31 from there. In the end, I probably should have just waltzed my ass to someplace that sold a day pass and gotten one, but I saved $0.50 and stress on my feet. Aren't you impressed?

On the way, I polished off the first novel in the Brujah trilogy. (Time to borrow the next one.) Had to resort to reading the Phil Hendrie article in this week's LA Weekly on the way back home. Learning the patience to read while I walk has been thoroughly useful lately. I employed the skill two days earlier on the way back from the Starbucks in downtown, which is where I cut through the first half of the previously mentioned novel.

I was going to hit Universal today, but I realized on my way back that I'd forgotten the paper that has all my previous job info on it, so that would've made the trip pointless. So that's on the agenda for tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be too much of a madhouse over there. And since it'll be Friday, I may just decide to be paranoid and actually buy a ticket for the Red Line. *horrified gasp* We'll see. Wouldn't want to repeat my last court experience, would I?
