Had a great time Saturday night, a story to which I have very little to add....except that the aforementioned evening probably involved more instances of public urination than any activity I've ever been involved in. Let's hear it for drinking in cold weather! Brief thoughts: * The prices at a restaurant are not an indication of quality, just pretentiousness. This isn't to say my food wasn't good, because it was. The cost of it was simply unjustified. * By contrast, the dessert was a fucking bargain. Baked Alaska is a tasty motherfucker. * Unlike the Italians, the French don't deserve the acclaim they get for their food. I've held this position for a long time and I've yet to encounter a reason to change it. * The Pacific Ocean is cold, but being naked at night doesn't make it any worse. * The beach would be better in many ways if the sand didn't stick to everything. * Pale chicks tend to be good kissers. Just something I've noticed. On top of that, Count Sackula managed to score a bottle of Bacardi Superior that currently sits at my feet Score. Sunday, it was recovery and some board gaming with Thea. A little Flux, a little Gother Than Thou, a little Guillotine, and finally a little Betrayal at House on the Hill. This game fuckin' rocks, man. Anyway, that covers that. In other news, I think I have a cavity in one of my wisdom teeth (top left). Sadly, I'm perpetually broke, but I seem to have a found a list of places that might be able to fix me up for nothing. Only question is when I can get an appointment. If I can get it before I fly out to the Great Grey North, that'd be wonderful. If I gotta wait 'til after...I'll pick up some Anbesol in the meantime and eat carefully ('less anyone knows someplace in Portland that'll drill/pull for free?). Speaking of Portland, looks like I won't have to worry about television too much while I'm up there, since Smallville, Jack & Bobby and Lost will be repeats next week. Speaking of television, I've seen the first three episodes of the 4th season of The West Wing. KCAL 9 won't catch up to where I am until the New Year, sadly, so hopefully I can successfully download my fix. That's all for now. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
