So the weekend was decent. Gamed a bit, drank a bit, saw folks, saw some other folks, socialized, ate, and fucked. Grabbed one book from the library, but not another. Shaved the neck, but not the head, sadly.

At some point last week, I held a private showing of Clash of the Titans.

Sydney comes into town in about five hours. Talkin' to the Princess on AIM. Keep thinkin' about hitting IRC, but it always seems like a waste.

Snagged all the tracks for The Mars Volta album De-loused in the Comatorium. I'll listen to it after I go through all these Muse tracks I've grabbed. I'm six tracks into Absolution and so far, the singles (Time is Running Out and Hysteria) are the best songs. When I was younger, I had a three song rule for new albums. If it didn't have three good songs on it, I wouldn't get it. Of course, I broke this rule a number of times, but usually only with CD's that were used. These days, I usually just grab the tracks I like and leave the rest, but every so often, I'm compelled to dig deeper. Picking up Maroon 5's Songs About Jane was the last time I indulged this particular urge and that paid off pretty well.

I'll say this for Muse; the lyrics are good and the music is good, but I occasionally can't figure out how the fuck they decided to marry the two. The tracks that have given me that thought most are Stockholm Syndrom and Butterflies and Hurricanes.

I think I'll pause for now and go watch some TV. I've managed to get the song from Skidoo out of my head and it's time to relax with a little Raw and a couple episodes of West Wing.
