Ok, before I begin, it should be noted that on the day I was born three members of rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd died in a charter plane crash.

Heh.

"I never could get the hang of Thursdays."

Moving on...

So New Orleans was good. Spent a rediculous amount of time hanging out with my fellow geeks at the hotel, but I did eventually make it out to the Quarter on Sunday evening. Gorgeous little town, that. Had some food, the requisite doughnuts, and so on. Lousiana in general has style coming out of every orifice possible. That I will have to return to see more of it is a given.

The drive was hellish and long. Arizona hasn't changed. New Mexico has cool rest stops and a lot of empty space. Texas has a good handle on the concept of freeways and decent pizza, but I'd still just as soon detonate the whole fuckin' place. Emily was wonderful company throughout it all and I owe her a great debt for providing the vehicle and the fuel.

Anyway, right now I'm showered, I've got a backlog of journaling (which I'm working on) and TV (which I'll get to), I gotta unpack my bags and wash a lotta clothes. I also need to find a place for this massive can of pineapple juice I've acquired.

I may recount specific stuff later, but it was great seein' everybody and touchin' some of the rest of 'em. :)

In closing, however, I will say this:

You put the lime in the cooconut and you drink it all up...
