Like Friday, Rose and I stayed at school a long time. All the other kids were on the playground, so we had the classroom to ourselves. She decided to tell me a flannel board story. She got out some cardboard animals—a rabbit, duck, frog, etc.—and proceeded to tell me about one fish who ate too much and couldn't swim anymore and the butterfly and rabbit who hopped along together. She said "Look Mom, the butterfly is purple, your favorite color."

Isn't it nice when someone remembers your favorite color?
