Today, I did not get any exercise, prepare the materials I need for the class I'm teaching this week-end, edit the book chapter I have due this evening, cook anything, get a nap, pay a bill, send a thank you note, and that's just the first layer of my to-do list.

However, David and I had a very productive half hour. He lay on a waterproof pad, sans diaper. He's got some diaper rash, and we wanted to air it out. So, getting him naked and happy was our first success. I lay next to him in cobra position (on my stomach arching up) which is one of the many back exercises I'm supposed to be doing. Success, number two. As I lay there, I clipped his nails. The poor kid has bloody scratches all over his face. I swear his nails grow in hours. So, tackling them was success number three. Then we grinned at each other, chatted, and sang. Success, success, success.
