Finally, finally, David had a healthy poop today. We had 11 days of yuck. We still don't know if was the gluten, a new tooth, illness, or, poor bunny, a convergence of the three. But, he's definitely feeling better. For a week he only wanted to eat yogurt. Today he ate an entire sweet potato, banana, cheese, rice bread, peas, and two jars of mushed lentils. That was one lunch. He's also flat out cheerier. Things David thinks are funny I hold a banana to my ear. "Hello! Hello David!" I put his pants on top of my head. I water him. (A game best played in the bathtub.) I hold him upside down. (A game best played when his sister is not grabbing me.) He grabs the back of my pants and I turn in circles calling "Where's David?" His sister. Things David doesn't like Leaving the park. Driving long distances. Not being understood. Getting the door slammed in his face. Frankly I don't like any of these either. What's new with David Recently, he'll actually lie calmly on the changing table. Maybe the five poopy diapers a day did us a good turn. His vocab seems to have shrunk back. We don't see "Daddy" much any more. "Nurse" and "food" are our only consistent signs. He's starting to show a little jealousy. Rose was sitting in my lap, and David made it plenty clear he wanted up too. Luckily, I have two legs. He loves the swings and the slide. He and I went down the big slide together over and over again. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
