Two nights ago, Rose woke up three times, twice for the covers to be pulled down, and once for the drama of the stuffy nose. At 2:00 a.m. David was awake for an hour then woke again forty-five minutes later. He got up for good at 5:50. That hour in the middle was just not fun.

Last night John and I went to bed at 10:30 and got up at 7:00. Yes, everyone in the family slept through the night. Did you count them? 8.5 hours of continuous sleep. That's the first time since David was born.

Unfortunately, the euphoria only lasted until this afternoon. Lethargy, warm—yup, David is sick.
